We provide our patients with a superior and professional osteopathic experience, aiming to reduce pain and discomfort in order to optimise health and quality of life.
Osteopathy is a gentle hands-on approach used to diagnose and treat a wide range of health conditions with the aim to restore and maintain both physical and psychosocial well-being. Osteopathy can also complement other medical interventions and osteopaths often work in conjunction with other health professionals to give you the best possible care.Learn more
We continually strive for excellence and have a passion for helping patients lead pain free lives. Our values are derived from underlying osteopathic concepts and principles, as well as by keeping up to date with research. Your treatment will be a fully tailored, personable and confidential experience, enabling you to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Although osteopathy is often used to treat back pain and address postural issues, osteopaths also treat a wider array of health conditions.
During your initial visit we will discuss your symptoms and injuries in depth, as well as taking a thorough medical history. A physical examination will then be carried out with your consent to assess your posture and mobility. You may be asked to undress to your underwear so that we are able to examine the problematic areas. Please let your osteopath know if you are uncomfortable undressing; it may be advisable to bring loose fitting clothing such as shorts and t-shirt.
A diagnosis and specifically tailored treatment plan will be made and discussed with you. Osteopaths use gentle techniques including joint mobilisations, manipulations, massage and stretching of muscles. We are fully qualified and insured to provide medical acupuncture, which can also be incorporated into your treatment.
Your osteopath may provide you with aftercare, lifestyle and exercise advice with the aim to assist your recovery and prevent re-occurrence of injury. If we feel that osteopathic care is not the best treatment for you then you may be referred to your GP or other healthcare professionals.
Elisabeth originally worked within a financial institution during which time her interest in osteopathy was ignited after experiencing the positive effects of osteopathic treatment first hand, as well as seeing the benefits it had on her horses. After deciding on a career change, she graduated from the London School of Osteopathy obtaining a Masters Degree in Osteopathy and also has a qualification in Medical Acupuncture. Incorporating both structural and cranial treatment approaches.
Elisabeth has a strong focus on patient care and believes it is vital to tailor treatment and management plans to each patient specifically. Elisabeth has a young son who has contributed to her keen interest in paediatric and pregnancy related osteopathy and plans to enhance her skills within these areas as part of her continued professional development. Elisabeth is passionate about horses, having ridden for 25 years, competing regularly in dressage at regional level and also runs an equine osteopathy clinic.
